There’s nothing worse than buying a new camera and finding out, just a few months down the line, that it is out of date. It’s hard luck as far as most manufacturers are concerned. They’ve moved on, all you have to do is take a loss and buy the latest model. Not so with Fuji.

There wasn't much to excite me about the recent firmware upgrades for Fuji X cameras and lenses but I dutifully went ahead and installed them. The camera firmware updates are for the X-T1 and X100T while four zooms, the XF10-24, XF18-55, XF18-135 and XF55-200 get their own improvements.

The new Fuji X100T and the improved X-T1 have been announced ahead of Photokina. I gave an overview earlier this week and now we have the full information on the cameras. The X100T will cost £999 and the graphite edition of the X-T1 is priced at £1,199.99.
